HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver – Full Time

Location: Langar, Nottingham

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00 start

Thursday Start: 05:00

Salary: £43,415 per annum

Overtime: Available and paid at time and a half

Resolve Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver to join a well-established operation based in Langar, Nottingham.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and professional HGV driver looking for a full-time, Monday to Friday position with a competitive annual salary, overtime opportunities and the potential for long-term progression.

The Role

  • Driving an HGV Class 2 vehicle on designated refuse collection routes
  • Completing refuse collections safely, efficiently and within scheduled times
  • Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects
  • Working closely with a crew to complete collection routes effectively
  • Following all relevant road, transport and health & safety regulations
  • Maintaining a high standard of professionalism and customer service
  • Ensuring the vehicle is kept clean, safe and compliant at all times

Candidate Requirements

  • Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
  • Valid Driver CPC
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience preferred
  • Refuse, waste or local authority experience would be advantageous
  • Reliable and professional approach to work
  • Strong attendance and timekeeping
  • Safety-focused with a good understanding of driver responsibilities
  • Physically fit and comfortable working as part of a refuse collection crew
