ATA Qualified Vehicle Damage Assessor

Location: Leeds

Salary: £45,000 per annum + Company Car

Working Hours: Monday to Friday

The Role

Our client is looking for an experienced, ATA-qualified Vehicle Damage Assessor to join their team based in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with a strong background in vehicle damage assessment and accident repair to join an established operation, with a competitive salary of £45,000 per annum and a company car included.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing vehicle damage, preparing accurate repair estimates and ensuring repairs are completed to the required standards, while maintaining a high level of customer service and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out detailed vehicle damage assessments and identify the full extent of accident damage.
  • Prepare accurate repair estimates using relevant estimating systems.
  • Produce repair methods and costings in line with manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
  • Liaise with insurance companies, repairers, engineers and other relevant parties.
  • Monitor repair progress and ensure work is completed to the required quality standards.
  • Identify additional damage and manage supplementary estimates where required.
  • Ensure all assessments and documentation are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain excellent communication with customers and colleagues throughout the repair process.

Requirements

  • ATA qualification in Vehicle Damage Assessment is essential.
  • Previous experience in a Vehicle Damage Assessor role within the automotive accident repair industry.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle repair methods, repair costs and industry standards.
  • Experience using vehicle estimating systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • A full UK driving licence.
