Vehicle Technician

We are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join a well-established automotive engineering company.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for cars, some automotive knowledge and practical experience using hand tools. The successful candidate will support the team in identifying and resolving issues with new vehicles that have been returned for repairs or remedial work.

We are looking for someone who is hands-on, mechanically minded and keen to develop their skills within a professional automotive engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with the identification and rectification of faults and issues found in new vehicles.
• Carrying out basic mechanical repairs and remedial work on vehicles.
• Using hand tools and workshop equipment safely and effectively.
• Inspecting vehicles to identify defects, damage or mechanical issues.
• Carrying out repairs and adjustments to ensure vehicles meet the required quality standards.
• Following work instructions and established health and safety procedures.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised working area.
• Working as part of a team to ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.

The Ideal Candidate

• Some automotive knowledge and a genuine interest in vehicles.
• Previous hands-on experience working on or repairing cars.
• Experience using a variety of hand tools.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to identify faults.
• A reliable, hardworking attitude with a willingness to learn.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, Vehicle Fitter or Automotive Technician would be advantageous. However, candidates with relevant hands-on vehicle repair experience and the right attitude are encouraged to apply.

What's on Offer?

• Competitive pay of £14.00 – £18.25 per hour, depending on experience.
• Consistent Monday-to-Friday working hours.
• Day shifts, starting at 7:00am and finishing at 3:30pm.
• The opportunity to work within a well-established automotive engineering company.

Please note: An additional hour of overtime per day may be required, depending on business needs.
