Vehicle Technician / Diagnostic Technician

Blisworth, Northamptonshire

£30,000–£45,000 per annum, depending on experience

Monday–Friday, 8:15am–5pm | One Saturday per month, 8am–2pm, with a Friday afternoon off in lieu

ACS Automotive Recruitment Consultancy is looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician with strong diagnostic skills to join an established independent garage.

This is a varied, hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys finding the cause of a fault and completing a broad range of mechanical repairs. You’ll join a friendly, close-knit team where your practical ability and experience are valued.

The role:

• Investigating and diagnosing vehicle faults using diagnostic equipment and your own technical knowledge.
• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and general mechanical repairs.
• Completing cambelt, clutch, brake and gearbox work.
• Ensuring repairs are completed accurately and to a high standard.
• Working alongside the team to keep workshop jobs moving efficiently.

About you:

• An experienced Vehicle Technician with proven diagnostic and fault-finding ability.
• Confident undertaking more involved mechanical repairs alongside routine servicing.
• Able to work independently and take ownership of your work.
• A reliable team player with pride in the quality of your repairs.
• Qualified or time-served technicians welcome.
• An MOT licence would be an advantage but is not essential.
