We are currently recruiting for an experienced Panel Technician to join our client's busy accident repair centre in Sheffield.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established automotive repair business, working within a busy, modern bodyshop alongside an experienced team of Paint, Panel and MET Technicians.
The workshop handles a high volume of accident repairs, working across a variety of vehicles including prestige and high-tech models. The Role – Panel Technician
Working within a busy accident repair centre, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality vehicle body repairs and panel replacements, ensuring vehicles are restored safely and efficiently to their pre-accident condition.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out vehicle body repairs and panel replacements to manufacturer standards.
- Assessing accident damage and identifying the most effective repair methods.
- Removing, repairing and refitting vehicle body panels and associated components.
- Completing structural and non-structural panel repairs.
- Working on a variety of vehicle makes and models, including prestige vehicles.
- Ensuring repairs meet manufacturer specifications and quality standards.
- Working alongside Paint and MET Technicians to ensure efficient vehicle repairs.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop environment.
Requirements – Panel Technician / Panel Beater
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Panel Technician, Panel Beater or Automotive Body Repair Technician.
- NVQ Level 3, IMI Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Body Repair.
- Alternatively, proven time-served experience as a Panel Beater.
- Strong vehicle panel repair, replacement and removal/refitting skills.
- Experience working within an accident repair centre or automotive bodyshop.
- Knowledge of modern vehicle construction and repair methods.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- A full UK or EU driving licence.
Experience working on prestige vehicles, manufacturer-approved repairs or modern vehicle repair systems would be advantageous.
