The Role: Automotive Service Advisor
As a Service Advisor, you'll be the main point of contact between customers and the workshop, ensuring every customer receives a professional, friendly and efficient service experience.
You'll take responsibility for managing customer bookings, coordinating workshop activity and identifying opportunities to maximise customer satisfaction and aftersales revenue.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing customer service and maintenance bookings
- Welcoming customers and discussing their vehicle requirements
- Ensuring efficient workshop loading and technician utilisation
- Keeping customers updated throughout the service and repair process
- Explaining recommended repairs and additional work clearly and professionally
- Upselling additional products, services, service plans and special offers
- Maintaining accurate customer and vehicle records within the dealership management system
- Following up with customers to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business
- Working closely with the workshop team to deliver an efficient and high-quality service
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working as a Automotive Service Advisor within a car dealership is essential
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Confident handling customer enquiries and managing expectations
- Previous experience upselling additional work, products or services
- Knowledge of Kerridge, 1link, Pinnacle or similar Dealer Management Systems (DMS)
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced Service Department
- A professional, positive and customer-focused approach
- Full manual UK driving licence
